Passing Thoughts

Sometimes,

she wonders
about things like
time travel
and
magical genies that grant you
three wishes

she knows just what her wishes would be,
she's thought this through,
planned them out so that nothing can go wrong,
so that she will be happy,

alive once again,
calm, at peace,

she wishes
she could live in those lands-
the ones where fairytales are real,
with witches and princesses and
animals that you can talk to.

but she knows,
she knows,
none of this is real,

not really.
